Your Wedding Day
Have a fantasy wedding on the beach, with cool tropical breezes, pure white
sand, and crystal clear ocean water. It's all here waiting for you.
Weddings in the U.S. Virgin Islands are quite simple. All that is
required is a fully completed license application, and a visit with the Clerk of
the Territorial Court. Your marriage is recognized in the United States
Courts.
Prior to your arrival, DOWPHOTO-Weddings will work closely with you by phone,
email and U. S. Express mail to take care of ALL the necessary
arrangements for your wedding. All you need to do is get here.
No residency, physical exams or blood tests are required, and all court
documents required for the processing of your application will be provided.
If you are divorced, include a CERTIFIED, stamped copy of your divorce
decree. If you are widowed, include a CERTIFIED and stamped copy of your
spouse's death certificate.
On arrival to St. Thomas or St. John arrangements can be made to pick you up
at the airport and transport you to the hotel of your choice.
DOWPHOTO-Weddings can also plan a wedding for Cruise Ship passengers staying
for the day. You will be picked up at your ship and transported to the
courthouse, and then to the wedding site.
The Virgin Islands has many fine hotels to choose from, such as the Marriot
Frenchman's Reef, the Westin Resort, Ritz Carlton, Sugarbay Resort, Holiday Inn,
Point Pleasant, and Caneel Bay as well as many inexpensive inns. Please call

All island wedding packages include a
licensed non-denominational minister, a marriage license, and a marriage
certificate. (religious ceremony available at a nominal fee)

Please Note

Application License and Certificate fee of $50.00 is payable to the
Territorial Court of the V.I. by money order or certified check. Please
send this fee along with your signed and notarized license & application for
marriage, as well as any certified divorce or death decrees. ( We cannot
guarantee processing of licenses that are missing Certified divorce or death
decrees from the court of issue.)

Virgin Islands law
stipulates that all licenses must be filed with the court no less than eight (8)
days prior to your wedding date. Therefore we impose a two week deadline
for receipt of documents and fees ($50.00) prior to your wedding date, to ensure
accuracy, and the proper handling.

You must appear in
person at the court. DOWPHOTO-Weddings
will provide transportation, and escort you to the clerk of the court.
Please bring with you a driver's license (with photo) or a passport.

Your license must
be on file in the Territorial Court eight (8) working days prior to your
wedding.

All documents must
be in English.

The marriage application form
should be notarized in the lower left hand corner at the blank white space.

The Court is closed
on various federal and various local holidays, so please call to confirm your
wedding date with us. (There is an additional fee for the clerk of the court to
come in for you on holidays).

Reminder, the average daily
temperature in the Virgin Islands is about 85-96 degrees daily. So think
cool as you plan your tropical wedding.
